I am not sure why I really like an island of Okinawa. It reminds me of Hawaii as it is very “American looking“ thanks to the large military base. There is a bit theme park feel to it, just like Waikiki on Oahu. The beaches are equally beautiful and water is as warm and crystal clear like in Hawaii. One thing that I found about different about this island is that it can be brutally hot. The sun is unforgiving… I took the photograph of local ferry arriving on the island. The view of the ocean was stunning from where I was standing.
