Kyoto’s Vending Machine

K

The staple of Japanese streets, vending machines are present almost everywhere you go. They are accessible and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Japan is all about convenience and ease of use so no wonder I even came across them on trails while hiking mountains! In Kyoto, there was a row of vending machines with a good selection of drinks on the side street by my apartment building. Every morning as I was heading out I stopped here to grab a can of hot black coffee.

I like this photograph in both colour and black and white, both work in their way.
