Hikari no Ou is a high-fantasy anime that has the potential to be special. It has many distinguished names involved, such as director Nishimura Junji, writer Oshii Mamoru, and composer Kawai Kenji. The story follows Touko, a girl who is cursed after her parents die in a fire, as she travels to the capital with Kanata, the dog of a slain Fire Hunter. In the capital lives Koushi, who has received a mysterious letter from someone living in a gated mansion.
