In Tokyo Aliens Volume 2, protagonist Akira is partnered with Sho, a high-schooler agent, to begin his work with the secret police organization AMO. Their first mission is to guard a runaway alien girl whose life is being targeted.

There is some character development for Akira and Sho, but the story is disjointed and it’s unclear what the series wants to be going forward. The translation reads well and Volume 3 is scheduled for an English release in May. Despite this, it is still worth hanging in there to see how things shake out going forward.
